Bekannte Feste sind: <strong>Fasnacht, Erntedankfest<\/strong> und verschiedene <strong>Prozessionen<\/strong> und <strong>Volksfeste<\/strong> zu Ehren verschiedener Schutzheiliger.<\/p>\n<p>Zu <strong>Ostern<\/strong> findet im Tessin eine ganz besondere <strong>Prozession<\/strong> statt, und zwar die <strong>Osterprozession von Mendrisio<\/strong>. Hier kommen G\u00e4ste am <strong>Gr\u00fcndonnerstag<\/strong> von weit her und verfolgen die Prozession, auf der ein <strong>Jesus ein Kreuz auf dem R\u00fccken durch den Ort tr\u00e4gt<\/strong>. Diese <strong>Tradition<\/strong> besteht schon sehr lange Geschichte hinter sich und die <strong>Tradition wird von den Tessinern aufrechterhalten<\/strong>. Das Brauchtum geht bis ins 17. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcck. <\/p>\n<p>Das <strong>Tessin<\/strong> hat nicht immer nur goldenen Zeiten hinter sich, sondern auch <strong>Armut und Not<\/strong> machten sich hier breit. Die Not hat viele Tessiner zum <strong>Auswandern<\/strong> gezwungen und auch besonders erfinderisch gemacht. <\/p>\n<p>Im <strong>Valle di Maggia<\/strong> befindet sich ein <strong>Ethnografisches Museum<\/strong>, in dem ein <strong>Freilichtmuseum<\/strong> aufgebaut wurde. Hier kann man auf <strong>Wanderungen<\/strong> durch die <strong>antiken M\u00fchlen, Keller, H\u00e4user, Brunnen<\/strong> und mehr spazieren und sich in die damalige Zeit zur\u00fcck versetzen. Im <strong>Casa Cantonio in Cabbio<\/strong> finden zudem <strong>thematische Ausstellungen<\/strong> rund um das Leben im Tal statt. <\/p>\n<p>Im ganzen Tessin verstreut findet man <strong>Ethnografische Museen<\/strong> und Zeitzeugen der damaligen Epoche.
